“CYCLES, RETROGRADES AND NEW BEGINNINGS”

“WHY IS IT HAPPENING NOW?”

To understand why so much is happening now in the US and why there is great hope for the future, you need a working understanding of both Cycles and Retrogrades, so I will begin here.

CYCLES

DAY (EARTH CYCLE) LIGHT

It’s easy to see astrology as a 24-hour clock and a yearly calendar. In a day’s cycle (one revolution of the Earth turning on her axis), we see the 4 natural steps of a complete cycle that builds upon itself; dawn, noon, dusk and midnight. How different each of these are from the other, yet they each have their importance in a cycle.

SUN CYCLE AMOUNT OF LIGHT PER DAY (YEAR)

 (4 SEASONS)

One cycle of the Earth in its 4 parts around the Sun is a year:

Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter.

Spring Begins with the 1^st day of Aries known as the Spring Equinox when Day and Night are Equal, with day growing.

Summer Begins with the 1^st day of Cancer known as the Summer Solstice when there is the Most Day, Least Night.

Fall (Fall Equinox – begins with the 1st day of Libra) Day and Night are Equal, with Night growing.

Winter (Winter Solstice – begins with the 1st day of Capricorn) Most Night, Least Day.

Let's take a look at the importance of the Pluto Cycle that

 we are now experiencing as a country.

An Astrological Chart is a map of the sky at a particular time from a particular location. That’s it!  Nothing more, nothing less.

You can chart a map for any point in time, the beginning of a life (a birth chart), the beginning of a relationship, the beginning of a business, the beginning of a country. It is the beginning of a country that I would like to address in relation to Pluto, since there has been a significant event that has happened earlier this year, that I think you might find not only interesting but hope inspiring.

When you create a chart, you put the Earth in the center  because you want to see how everything relates to us, here on Earth (the symbol for Earth is a circle with a cross in it). This is called “geocentric” (Earth centered). The perimeter is the constellations, and the planets fall between the two. Make sense?

The word “planet” means wanderer. For the intent and purpose of astrology, the moon is also considered a planet.

Because Earth is located in the center, all the planets (except the Sun and Moon), appear to go backwards at some point in the year, this is called Retrograde “Rx”.

 

As we can see above (with the 4 seasons), cycles have 4 steps, and each step has its purpose and each builds on the last until the beginning of a new cycle.

But when a planet is Rx, it doesn’t complete a regular cycle, when the planet goes direct (forward) it hits that Rx planet in less than a complete cycle and causes the planets energy to go askew. (Like it’s too much pressure in too short of a time.) 

(The planets naturally travel counter-clockwise.)

 

That’s about it for Rx, so let’s move onto NEW BEGINNINGS and HOPE.

 

On February 20, 2022, Pluto made its first complete cycle in the chart of the USA. It has Returned to the same position it was in when the USA was born, July 4, 1776, in Philadelphia, PA. This is called a “Pluto Return” (R).

In the birth chart of the USA, both Pluto and Mercury were Rx.

Pluto has to do with transformation, evolution; endings and new beginnings. It is the furthermost planet in the solar system, the transformation of the end of the solar system and the HOPE that lies beyond through evolution.

Mercury has to do with how we think. Picture Mercury being behind the center of your forehead and representing that which is located inside there.

Since the birth of the USA, the way the country thinks and the way it evolves has been Rx, has been skewed, has been f**ked up.

I am happy to report that not one planet was Rx at the beginning of this new Pluto cycle that began on February 20, 2022. And for the first time in the history of the USA, we are in a place of Evolution and Right Thinking as a whole, which will lead to the Justice and Equality that this country stood for on the surface.

As with any new beginning, all the old crap needs to surface to be released to make space for the new. Look around you, look at all the crap. It’s been there under the surface, we can’t release what we’re not aware of.

Look for things to settle down when Pluto enters Aquarius in 2023, the Humanitarian Sign (the new perspective sign). It's in Capricorn now, which has to do with Business and Structure. See the old power structures crumbling? This is the hard part, when it looks like the darkness will win. The darkness must first come to light before it can be released. The darkness too, will cycle out.

The last time Pluto's path led through this part of the zodiac, we started a whole new friggin' country.

This is not a repeat of the Civil War, it is a repeat of the War of Independence. I have great hope for this cycle, since all the planets are moving forward in this 2nd cycle for the US.

November 8, 2022 is the first election of the new cycle. I, for one, wait anxiously for the outcome.

I cannot say that the stars are on our side, but I can say the all the planets are ...  finally.
